The World Of Anger Management

Anger management has become a buzz word in today’s world of pop psychology and performance motivation. Unfortunately, heightened awareness of an issue does not necessarily mean that the issue will be taken serious by everyone. In fact, there will be those who will scoff at anything that has a root in psychology mainly because they do not recognize the seriousness of psychological issues.

(Additionally, the fact that anger management was mocked in a famous film of the same name did not help matters in terms of making the public take the issue seriously) However, issues centering on the control of one’s anger self-control are of the utmost seriousness as there are tremendous negative ramifications that can derive from out of control anger issues.

The Impact of Anger Management

Whether in the workforce or in social or family circles people will simply not tolerate someone that is out of control in terms of their expression of rage. Quite honestly, when an individual is not in control of their anger issues, such actions are clear examples of immaturity. This is clearly not a trait that one should broadcast as it will undermine professional and personal relationships to a significant degree. To what value would a person’s life be worth if it is turned upside down due to problems with keeping one’s temper under control?

Recognizing a Temper Problem Exists

It is, of course, critical that a person with anger management issues realize that they have a serious problem that needs correction. Unfortunately, many will be in denial that they exhibit any sort of problem exists. This self-denial will not provide safety and cover from any consequences that may result from issues stemming from out of control anger. Whether or not the person recognizes he or she has a problem is irrelevant if their conduct gets them fired from a job or in the middle of divorce proceedings. Actions, after all, have consequences.

Seeking Anger Management Help

Seeing control of one’s anger issues may not be something that will take care of itself. In fact, the help of a qualified professional will be required to solve the underlying root causes of the anger and then prescribe an effective treatment that can curtail any future problems stemming from anger issues. Hopefully, if an individual is sincere in their pursuit to solve the problems by seeking anger management help curtailing the problems will be achieved. Such actions may not prove easy, but if the individual is committed to an effective change, then change may inevitably occur.

The News is putting us in the Tank.

Read all about it.
If you dare, read the newspapers, the internet news, and if you are really daring turn on the 24 hour news networks. See what they are all saying about the Economy, the gas prices, the mortgage situation, credit card debt, inflation, recession.
It is a feeding frenzy. Things have not been this good for the news for quite awhile. If you want to know what your mind looks like watch and read all of this. It is all negative, extremely negative and very fear-provoking. And, our minds can0t get enough of it. We have to know, we just have to know. Our mind is saying, 0What are we supposed to do, put our head in the sand like an ostrich?0
Actually, what is called for is pulling our head out of the sand. What is called for is seeing what is really going on. Negative sells, negative sells big. What if the headline in the newspaper, on the internet or on the 24 hours news channel said, Everything is going Great. How many people are going to go for that? How many people just have to buy a newspaper […]

Are you a mind watcher?

If not, who is watching that mind? It0s like having a big mean tiger in your backyard, no leash, no fence, nothing to stop it from running amok. Doesn0t sound like a good idea, does it?
If we aren0t mind-watching, our mind is having its way with us. We are roller-coastering. We are being pushed up and down, good moods, bad moods, good days, bad days, happy, sad, clear, confused. If we are not watching every move our mind makes we are allowing it to wreak its havoc unnoticed, terrorizing us like that tiger loose in the neighborhood.
This state is actually the lot of most of the humans on the planet. The 0normal0 mind, the habitual, automatic mind, is out of control and there seems nothing can be done about it.
Our mind is negative. If we are not watching it, the negative mind has us captured, captivated, and into negativity.
If we are not watching0witnessing— our mind, and we are thus allowing our mind to run us, we are unhappy, miserable and suffering. The reason is that the negativity is continually taking us —-taking our attention—away from the 100% positive being […]
